Scott, executive director of the Canadian Polar Commission, David Hik, a Commission board member, Jeannie Ehaloak, mayor of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, and Elizabeth Kingston, general manager of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Chamber of Mines, discuss the measure to establish a new federal research organization that will conduct a broad range of science and technology research in Canada's north. The Canadian High Arctic Research Station will be located in Cambridge Bay and is scheduled to open in 2017. (November 6, 2014) UPDATE: Bill C-43 received royal assent on December 16.
