Frédéric Seppey (director general, trade agreements and negotiations, market and industry services branch) and Gilles Saindon (associate assistant deputy minister, science and technology branch) from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and Tony Ritchie (executive director, strategic policy and international affairs) of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency discuss the economical impact international trade has on Canada as a whole, and the important role that science based food safety systems and animal health play in the agricultural industry.
