Senators continue their examination of international market access priorities for the Canadian agricultural and agri-food sector. Peter Clarke (chair) and Tim Lambert (CEO) from the Egg Farmers of Canada and Mike Dungate (executive director) and Yves Ruel (manager of trade and policy) of the Chicken Farmers of Canada outline the roles and business models of their respective organizations. Claire Citeau (executive director), Ron Davidson (director) and Phil de Kemp (director) from the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance discuss the importance of identifying new trade opportunities for the industry in order to diversify, reduce reliance in existing markets and increase access to markets where Canadian producers can get better value for their products.
