In Committee from the Senate of Canada
Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources - January 27, 2015
Senior officials from the National Energy Board testify via videoconference on Bill C-22, the Energy Safety and Security Act. Jim Fox, vice president of strategy and analysis, and Jonathan Timlin, director of regulatory approaches, discuss the implications of the proposed legislation for Canada’s energy and safety regulator. One of the key elements of the legislation would raise the absolute liability limits in both the offshore and nuclear sectors to $1 billion. The change would bring Canada's liability limits in line with the international community. (January 27, 2015)
