The committee begins its study on the increasing incidence of obesity in Canada. Angelo Tremblay (advisory committee member) from the Canadian Nutrition Society, Pat Vanderkooy (manager, public affairs) of Dietitians of Canada and Vladimir Vuksan (professor, department of nutritional sciences and medicine, University of Toronto) discuss some of the factors that contribute to obesity including sleep patterns, processed snack foods and income.
