In Committee from the Senate of Canada - Legal and Constitutional Affairs - February 18, 2015

Senators conduct their clause-by-clause review of two bills: C-47, the Miscellaneous Statute Law Amendment Act, and C-479, the Fairness for Victims Act.
C-47 aims to correct certain anomalies, inconsistencies and errors and to deal with other matters of a non-controversial and uncomplicated nature in the Statutes of Canada. It will also repeal certain provisions that have expired, lapsed or otherwise ceased to have effect.
C-479 proposes to increase the review time between the refusal or revocation of parole for violent offenders. (February 18, 2015)
