National Defence – June 12, 2017 – Part 4

Several academics take part in the committee’s study of Bill C-22, which will create a committee of Parliamentarians to review national security and intelligence activities.

The witnesses are Christian Leuprecht (political science professor, Royal Military, Royal Military College of Canada), Craig Scott (former NDP MP and current law professor at Osgoode Hall Law School), Tim McSorley (national coordinator, International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group), and Ryan Alford (assistant law professor, Lakehead University). UPDATE: Bill C-22 received royal assent on June 22.
