Benoît Dupont, scientific director of the Smart Cybersecurity Network (SERENE-RISC), discusses issues such as the current state of Canadian cybersecurity and future challenges that will have to be addressed from a research and development perspective. Scott Jones, deputy chief of IT Security for the Communications Security Establishment, then outlines CSE's mandate and its work with government partners and the private sector to help protect Canada's sensitive information. His colleague -André Boucher, director general of cybersecurity partnerships, also testifies.
