Cannabis Bill: Cities on the Frontline

Social Affairs, Science and Technology – March 29, 2018:

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities and various city officials discuss their concerns about the potential impact of legal cannabis on their cities, most notably the impact on their municipal bottom lines.

Participating in the study on Bill C-45, the Cannabis Act, are the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Councillor Bill Karsten (City of Halifax) and Alana Lavoie; Peggy Bachman (Ville de Montréal); Shayne Turner (City of Waterloo); Councillor Chak Kwong Au (City of Richmond), and Matt Zabloski (City of Calgary).
