Modernizing the Official Languages Act: Francophone Immigration

Official Languages – April 16, 2018:

Provincial francophone and Acadian associations discuss linguistic issues affecting their communities, including integrating francophone immigrants, access to French language education, and more.

Participating in the study on modernizing the Official Languages Act are the Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario’s Carol Jolin; the Société de l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick’s Joey Couturier, Simon Ouellette, and Ali Chaisson; the Fédération acadienne de la Nouvelle-Écosse’s Marie-Claude Rioux; as well as the Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta’s Albert Nolette and Isabelle Laurin.
