Minister Goodale on Expunging Unjust LGBTQ2 Convictions

Human Rights – April 25, 2018:

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale answers questions about the government’s Bill C-66, which establishes a procedure for expunging certain historically unjust convictions, including convictions that were discriminatorily brought against LGBTQ2 Canadians.

Also appearing at the committee are the Department of Justice Canada’s Shawn Scromeda; the Parole Board of Canada’s Daryl Churney; Public Safety Canada’s Kathy Thompson and Angela Connidis; as well as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s Chief Superintendent Serge Côté.
