Committee members convene to discuss the evolution of the television industry in Canada and its impact on local communities, April 22, 2009.

The witnesses for the first part of the meeting are Ivan Fecan (president and CEO), Paul Sparkes (executive vice-president of corporate affairs) and Peggy Hebden (station manager, "A" Barrie), from CTVglobemedia Inc.

The witnesses for the second part of the meeting are Peter Bissonnette (president), Ken Stein, (sr. vice-president, corporate and regulatory affairs) and Alex Park (vice-president, programming and educational services), from Shaw Communications Inc.

The witnesses for the remainder of the meeting are Yves Mayrand (vice-president of corporate affairs for Cogeco Cable Inc) and his colleague Maureen Tilson Dyment (senior director, communications and programming); Peter Viner, (president and CEO of Canwest Television), and his colleague Charlotte Bell (sr. vice-president, regulatory affairs, Canwest Media Inc.); and Donna Skelly (co-host of CHCH-TV).
