In Committee from the House of Commons
House of Commons Committee on Official Languages – March 23, 2010
Heritage and Official Languages Minister James Moore provided an update on the official languages file. Opposition MPs focused their questioning on the extent of the French presence during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympic Games. While he acknowledged his disappointment with the level of French at the opening ceremonies, Moore said he was pleased with the new standard of bilingualism that was set at all levels during the Games. The committee also heard from deputy minister Judith A. LaRocque.
