In Committee from the House of Commons - Government Operations and Estimates

Government Operations and Estimates (November 23, 2010)

Paul Sauvé, president of LM Sauvé, was at the committee to answer questions on how his construction firm won a $9-million contract for renovations on Parliament Hill. Sauvé testified that he won the contract because he paid $140,000 to Gilles Varin, a businessman with ties to the Conservative Party.
His firm lost the contract after it went bankrupt just a year after winning the project. The RCMP is currently investigating the controversial contract.
