In Committee from the House of Commons
Government Operations and Estimates
Government Operations and Estimates (November 23, 2010) Paul Sauvé, president of LM Sauvé, was at the committee to answer questions on how his construction firm won a $9-million contract for renovations on Parliament Hill. Sauvé testified that he won the contract because he paid $140,000 to Gilles Varin, a businessman with ties to the Conservative Party. His firm lost the contract after it went bankrupt just a year after winning the project. The RCMP is currently investigating the controversial contract.
