Parliamentary Budget Officer Kevin Page appeared before the committee’s hearings looking into whether the Conservative government should be found in in contempt of Parliament for not disclosing costs for several of its key initiatives. Page’s estimates for the crime legislation and the purchase of new F-35 fighter jets have differed significantly with the government’s own estimates.
