Government Operations and Estimates (December 8, 2011) Public Works and Government Services Minister Rona Ambrose responded to questions about Shared Services Canada, the new federal agency that aims to streamline the government's IT services and reduce costs. The agency was established in August of this year and has a $2-billion annual budget. The government expects to save $100-million to $200-million annually. Agency president Liseanne Forand and chief operating officer Grant Westcott also testified.
