Mario Dion responded to questions about his appointment as Canada's next integrity commissioner. Dion has been serving as interim commissioner for a year. His predecessor Christiane Ouimet abruptly resigned the post amid a cloud of controversy in October 2010, four years before the end of her term. Former auditor general Sheila Fraser denounced Ouimet's conduct and actions towards staff in a highly critical audit of her job performance.
