Justice and Human Rights (February 7, 2012)

Justice Minister Rob Nicholson appeared before the committee to discuss the citizen's arrest bill (C-26). The bill would amend the Criminal Code, making it easier for victims of crime to perform citizen's arrests, protect their personal property, and act in self-defence. Justice officials Joanne Klineberg and Catherine Kane also responded to questions from MPs.
