Public Accounts (May 1, 2012) Deputy ministers from National Defence, Public Works, Industry, and the Treasury Board testified as part of the committee's study of the F-35 procurement process. Robert Fonberg (Defence), François Guimont (Public Works), Simon Kennedy (Industry), and Michelle d'Auray (Treasury Board Secretariat) defended their respective departments' involvement in the process to replace Canada's fleet of CF-18 fighter jets. Lieutenant-General André Deschamps (commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force), and assistant deputy ministers Kevin Lindsey (Defence), Dan Ross (Defence), and Tom Ring (Public Works) also responded to questions.
