Citizenship and Immigration (May 31, 2012)

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney discussed his department’s main spending estimates for the fiscal year.

The minister spoke about the department’s priorities and explained how proposed reforms will streamline the application process for immigrants and refugees.

In the second portion of the meeting, senior departmental officials elaborated on their plans and supplementary estimates for the year. Neil Yeates, Amipal Manchanda, Claudette Deschênes, and Catrina Tapley spoke about the reasons for their additional funding needs and responded to questions from MPs.
