Subcommittee on International Human Rights (May 29, 2012)

James Paul Humphries, the founder and director of Project L.A.M.B.S. International, and Hkaw Win Humphries, a teacher with the group, appeared before the committee to discuss the human rights situation in Burma.

The married couple elaborated on the issues facing the Burmese people and made recommendations for improving human rights within the country. They also responded to questions on topics including freedom of speech, recent political reforms, and violence against the Kachin people.
