MPs continued with their study of the budget implementation bill. Witnesses discussed proposed amendments including those to the Coasting Trade Act and the Investment Canada Act contained in Bill C-38.

The following individuals testified: Len Zedel (Memorial University of Newfoundland, as an individual), Bob Kingston (Agriculture Union), Philippe Bergevin (C.D. Howe Institute), David Skinner (Consumer Health Products Canada), Matthew Holmes (Canada Organic Trade Association), Richard Wright (Nalcor Energy), Richard Steiner (University of Alaska, as an individual), and Erin Weir (United Steelworkers).

UPDATE: Bill C-38 received royal assent on June 29.
