Special Cooperatives (July 26, 2012)

Representatives of the financial sector were among those who testified as the committee continued its study of cooperatives in Canada.

The following witnesses appeared during this session: Rob Malli with Vancity Credit Union, Lyndon Carlson and Michael Hoffort, who were both representing Farm Credit Canada, Andy Morrison from Arctic Co-operatives Limited, and Federated Co-operatives Limited representatives Vic Huard and Glen Tully.

Topics of discussion included the challenges facing cooperatives across the country and possible ways to encourage the creation and expansion of new cooperative ventures.
