Committee members begin hearing from non-governmental witnesses on the government's budget implementation bill.

The following witnesses provide their thoughts on certain measures of Bill C-45 during the first part of the meeting: Robert Turnbull (Bank of Canada), Martin Lavoie (Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters), Carole Presseault (Certified General Accountants Association of Canada), Chris Aylward (Public Service Alliance of Canada), and Ken Cudmore (TSGI-Chartered Accountants).

The second panel of the meeting is made up of the following individuals: Corinne Pohlmann (Canadian Federation of Independent Business), Angella MacEwen (Canadian Labour Congress), Gregory Thomas (Canadian Taxpayers Federation), and Albert De Luca (Deloitte & Touche).

UPDATE: Bill C-45 received royal assent on December 14.
