Public Safety and National Security (October 3, 2012) Public Safety Minister Vic Toews and RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson discussed the government's legislation to increase accountability at the national police force. The minister announced proposed changes in June to deal with internal allegations of harassment and bullying. Bill C-42 would create an independent Civilian Review and Complaints Commission, increase measures to investigate serious incidents involving RCMP members and modernize discipline and human resource management processes.
