Citizenship and Immigration

MPs continue their consideration of Conservative MP Devinder Shory's bill (C-425) to strip the citizenship of dual nationals who engage in acts of war against the Canadian military.

B'nai Brith Canada's senior honorary counsel David Matas and legal counsel Marc Chétrit Rieger present their views of the proposed legislation during the first part of the meeting.

Committee members then hear from senior department officials Nicole Girard and Eric Stevens.
