International Trade Minister Ed Fast highlights the benefits of the Canada-European Union free trade agreement. Prime Minister Stephen Harper has called the agreement “an historic win for Canada”. This is the first free trade agreement between the European Union and a G8 country, and is expected to be in place by 2015. It must still be approved by all 28 EU member countries, as well as Canada’s provinces and territories.
