In Committee from the House of Commons
International Trade - November 7, 2013
International Trade Minister Ed Fast highlights the benefits of the Canada-European Union free trade agreement. Prime Minister Stephen Harper has called the agreement "an historic win for Canada". This is the first free trade agreement between the European Union and a G8 country, and is expected to be in place by 2015. It must still be approved by all 28 EU member countries, as well as Canada's provinces and territories. Chief trade negotiator Steve Verheul also responds to questions from the committee.
