In Committee from the House of Commons - Public Safety and National Security - February 13, 2014

Conservative MP David Sweet briefs the committee on his bill (C-479) to bring fairness for the victims of violent offenders. The personal stories of constituents from his riding have prompted Mr. Sweet to introduce this private member's bill.

The second part of this committee hears from the federal ombudsman for victims of crime Susan O'Sullivan whom fully supports all aspects of bill C-479 to further consider and to include victims of crime in the criminal justice system. (February 13, 2014)
