Corinne Charette, the government's chief information officer, briefs the committee on the government's open data practices and initiatives to increase transparency and accountability. She also summarizes the work in jurisdictions across Canada and internationally in providing access to government data and information. Stephen Walker, a senior director in the Chief Information Officer Branch at Treasury Board, demonstrates how the data portal works. Their colleague Sylvain Latour also responds to questions.
