Treasury Board President Tony Clement appears in front of the committee to defend the main estimates for 2014-2015 and to emphasize the government’s significant reduction in expenditures. Also testifying alongside the minister are Bill Matthews, assistant secretary of the Treasury Board Secretariat, and Yaprak Baltacioglu, secretary of the Treasury Board Secretariat, who both highlight funding increases and decreases for various governmental program and departments. Assisting Bill Matthews with his testimony about specific government costs is Marcia Santiago, executive director of the Expenditure Management Sector at the Treasury Board Secretariat.
