Public Works Minister Diane Finley appears in front of the committee to defend her department’s Report on Plans and Priorities 2014-2015. The minister highlights the report’s plan to consolidate various public works programs and to establish a new military procurement strategy. Appearing alongside the minister are Michelle d’Auray, deputy minister of public works and deputy receiver general for Canada, and Liseanne Forand, president of Shared Services Canada, who elaborate on the defence procurement secretariat and the government’s new email system.

Also answering questions in the second witness panel is Pablo Sobrino, associate deputy minister of public works of the acquisitions branch, who discusses the process of buying and selling of government contracts and sub-contracts.
