Justice Minister Peter MacKay defends his department’s request for funding in the 2014-2015 main estimates. The minister highlights the department’s key priorities which include an increase to the victims fund, better access to justice in both official languages, to pass the victims bill of rights, to get tougher on child predators, and more. Also appearing at the committee are the Public Prosecution Service of Canada`s B. Saunders (director of public prosecutions); and the Department of Justice`s William F.
