Gen. Tom Lawson, the chief of defence staff, appears before the committee to answer questions about how the Canadian Armed Forces handles reports of sexual assaults in the military. Gen. Lawson indicates that an external independent review will take place after a completed internal review was criticized. Appearing alongside the chief of defence staff is Col. Robert P. Delaney, Canadian Forces provost marshal.

Also testifying in front of the committee are the Department of National Defence’s Major-General Blaise Cathcart, judge advocate general; major-general David Millar, chief of military personnel; and Rear-Admiral Jennifer Bennett.
