The committee looks into the human rights situation in Eritrea and the role of Canadian companies in upholding human rights standards in the East African country. The committee hears from Lloyd Lipsett, author of the human rights impact assessment report on the Bisha mine, who discusses his report’s findings. Also appearing at the committee is Todd Romaine, vice president of corporate social responsibility of Nevsun Resources Ltd, the Canadian mining company that operates the Bisha mine. (June 5, 2014)
