The committee continues with its annual pre-budget consultations. The following witnesses outline their organizations' recommendations to improve Canada's taxation and regulatory regimes during the first panel: Armine Yalnizyan (Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives), Dennis Howlett (Canadians for Tax Fairness), Joyce Reynolds (Restaurants Canada), Scott Mahaffy (Portfolio Management Association of Canada), and Paul Magrath (Tax Executives Institute, Inc.).
Gareth Kirkby (former journalist and media manager), Terry Campbell (Canadian Bankers Association), Kevin Dancey (Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada), Albert Baker (Deloitte), and Brian Parker (Investment Industry Association of Canada) appear during the second part of the meeting.
