In Committee from the House of Commons - Procedure and House Affairs - October 30, 2014

Michael Chong responds to questions about questions about his Reform Act (Bill C-586). The Conservative MP and former cabinet minister proposes to empower MPs by restoring local control over party nominations, strengthening caucus as a decision-making body and reinforcing the accountability of party leaders to caucus. His original Reform Act was introduced in December 2013. His amended bill was introduced in April of this year and passed second reading in the House of Commons in September. (October 30, 2014)
