The committee begins its consideration of the Public Accounts of Canada 2014, which were tabled in the House of Commons on October 29. Details on the federal government's spending from the previous fiscal year are published every fall in the Public Accounts. Assistant Auditor General Nancy Cheng discusses her office's audit of the government's consolidated financial statements. Bill Matthews, Comptroller General of Canada and Nicholas Leswick, a director general in the Department of Finance, also respond to the committee's questions about the government's spending.
