Health Minister Rona Ambrose discusses the supplementary estimates for her portfolio and also updates the committee on Canada’s response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Canada has committed over $65 million to the global efforts to support health, humanitarian and security interventions to address the spread of the disease. Also appearing are Dr. Gregory Taylor, Canada’s chief public health officer, George Da Pont, deputy health minister, and Alain Beaudet, president of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
