Transport Minister Lisa Raitt discusses her department’s estimates. The minister also provides an update on Transport Canada’s recent activities, such as last month’s introduction of legislation to hold the rail industry and crude oil shippers more accountable. Deputy minister Louis Lévesque and assistant deputy ministers
André Lapointe and Laureen Kinney also testify.
Infrastructure Minister Denis Lebel outlines his estimates during the second hour of the meeting. He discusses issues including the New Building Canada Fund and progress on the new bridge on the St. Lawrence River. MPs also hear from deputy minister Lévesque and associate deputy minister Yazmine Laroche. (March 10, 2015)
