Various industry and advocacy groups testify as the committee resumes its study of the impact of low oil prices on the Canadian economy. The first panel is made up of: Rhys Mendes (deputy chief, Bank of Canada’s Canadian economic analysis department); Jeff Walker (vice-president of public affairs, Canadian Automobile Association); Jayson Myers (president and CEO, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters); Mark Nantais (president, Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association); and James Stanford (economist, Unifor).

The following witnesses offer their perspectives during the second part of the meeting: Flavio Volpe (president, Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association); Angella MacEwen (senior economist, Canadian Labour Congress); Catherine Cobden (executive vice-president, Forest Products Association of Canada); Ron Watkins (president, Canadian Steel Producers Association); and Melissa Blake (mayor of Wood Buffalo, Alberta).
