In Committee from the House of Commons - Public Accounts - March 23, 2015

Auditor General Michael Ferguson and his colleague Glenn Wheeler answer questions on the Nutrition North Canada program. Their office’s fall 2014 report raised concerns about Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada’s management of the food subsidy program. Introduced in 2011, the program aims to make healthy foods more accessible and affordable to residents of isolated northern communities
Colleen Swords and Stephen Van Dine, respectively the deputy minister and assistant deputy minister of aboriginal affairs and northern development, respond to the report.
