The committee continues its clause-by-clause consideration of the government’s anti-terrorism legislation. Measures in Bill C-51 include lowering the threshold for arrests, giving the Canadian Security Intelligence Service more powers to disrupt suspected terrorist threats, expanding the no-fly list, and making it easier to share security-related information among federal departments and agencies. (March 31, 2015) UPDATE: Bill C-51 received royal assent on June 18.
