In Committee from the House of Commons - Subcommittee on International Human Rights - May 7, 2015

Ahmed Shaheed, UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran, testifies at the committee. His visit coincides with Iran Accountability Week on Parliament Hill, which takes place from April 30 to May 7.
Iranian-Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari also appears. His imprisonment and torture in Iran’s notorious Evin prison in 2009 were the basis of his best-selling memoir and the recent feature film Rosewater. (May 7, 2015)
