The committee continues its study of the budget implementation bill (C-59). Appearing during the first panel are the following witnesses: Frances Woolley (Carleton University professor); Corinne Pohlmann (senior vice-president of national affairs, Canadian Federation of Independent Business); Martin Lavoie (director of policy, innovation and business taxation, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters); Terry Zive (chair of government relations, Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting); and David Macdonald (senior economist, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives). MPs hear from these witnesses during the second panel: Jason Heath (certified financial planner); Alexandre Laurin (director of research, C.D. Howe Institute); Aaron Wudrick (federal director, Canadian Taxpayers Federation); Philip Cross (senior fellow, Macdonald-Laurier Institute); and Ann Decter (director of advocacy and public policy, YWCA Canada).
