Canada’s information commissioner is among the witnesses who discuss the budget implementation act (C-59).

Information Commissioner Suzanne Legault reiterates her serious concerns with the proposal to retroactively rewrite the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act in relation to long-gun registry data. She issued a special report on the matter in May. (June 2, 2015) UPDATE: Bill C-59 received royal assent on June 23.
