The committee hears from two panels as it continues its pre-study on the government's assisted dying legislation (C-14). MPs hear from the following witnesses during the first part of the meeting: Drs. Georges L'Espérance and Nacia Faure (Association québécoise pour le droit de mourir dans la dignité), Sally Guy (Canadian Association of Social Workers), and ethics professor Theo Boer. The following witnesses testify during the second part of the meeting: Dr. Hartley Stern (Canadian Medical Protective Association) and Dr. Monica Branigan (Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians), as well as Juliet Guichon and Dr. Ian Mitchell, who are both appearing as individuals.
