In Committee from the House of Commons
Government Operations and Estimates - July 28, 2016
Marie Lemay, deputy minister of public services and procurement, is questioned about the issues with the Phoenix pay system. Four committee members requested an emergency meeting to discuss the problems with the federal government's new payroll system. The committee then hears from two federal union leaders about the impact on workers: Donna Lackie, national president of the Government Services Union, and Debi Daviau, president of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). More than 80,000 federal public servants have been affected by system glitches. (July 28, 2016)
