Auditor General Michael Ferguson presents his report on how Correctional Service Canada prepares Indigenous offenders for release back into the community. Correctional Service Canada Commissioner Don Head responds to the report and discusses CSC's commitment to improving results for Indigenous offenders. Senior deputy commissioner Anne Kelly also testifies. Ferguson then discusses his report on First Nations specific claims. Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada officials Joe Wild (senior assistant deputy minister of treaties and Aboriginal government) and Stephen Gagnon (director general of the specific claims branch) discuss the department's ongoing work to improve the process that is in place for resolving specific claims.
