The committee resumes its study on Atlantic Canada immigration. New Brunswick Liberal MP Alaina Lockhart describes some of the concerns her constituents have about the sustainability and growth of their communities and the local economy. Her private member's motion initiated the committee's study, which will examine population challenges in the region. The committee also hears from Ray Ivany (president, Acadia University); Frank McKenna (former New Brunswick premier); Peter Halpin (executive director, Association of Atlantic Universities); Sofia Descalzi (chairperson, Canadian Federation of Students - Newfoundland and Labrador); and Natasha Clark (international student advisor, Memorial University of Newfoundland).
