In Committee from the House of Commons
Canadian Heritage - September 18, 2017
Liberal MP Iqra Khalid is the first witness for the committee's study on systemic racism and religious discrimination. Her anti-Islamophobia motion (M-103) was passed earlier this year amid heated debate and initiated the study. The committee also hears from federal government officials Jenifer Aitken (Canadian Heritage), Ritu Banerjee (Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness) and Carl Trottier (Treasury Board Secretariat), as well as from Gilles Michaud (RCMP).
